Research Costs

While we encourage visitors to our premises on a Tuesday between 11am and 4pm, we understand that this is not always possible. The Society can undertake research on your behalf within our holdings (less than 50% is online). There is a cost of $20 an hour for personal research, $30 an hour for consultants requests, with a minimum charge of one hour.

(Please note: the Society receives in-kind support from the local Whitehorse Council, but no government funding. Our expenses include rent of our premises, insurance cover, telephone, internet, computer virus protection cover, photocopier and scanner, as well as the purchase of archival storage items. The small charges we levy for research and provision of copies is one way we can augment our income.)
